⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Join the Queue
Come to the audition room during the designated time period and look for our jerseys. One of our members will sign you up for the audition queue and hand you an form to fill out. Stay close, 'cause when it's your turn to go in, they'll call your name!

Audition (🎉!!)
Each audition is usually about 5-10 minutes. You'll introduce yourself and sing your prepared song. Then, we'll figure out your vocal range, pitch retention level, and ability to read sheet music.
Check Your Email
You're free to leave after your audition, but don't forget to check your email. We'll be sending out audition results the following Saturday morning!
Callbacks
Callbacks are the second phase of the audition process and consider your voice in a group setting as opposed to individually. If you receive an invitation in your email from us, it's really important that you are there, so save the date for Monday, September 29th!

Common Questions about Auditions ⊹ ࣪ ˖
Can I audition with a backtrack / an instrument?
Since we are an acapella group, we ask that you sing your audition song with no backtrack, just your voice!
Instruments such as guitars are not preferred, but can be allowed with communication. Shoot us a message. :)
Do I have to be there all three days? / Do I have to stay from 4-8pm?
NO!! You only have to come to one of our auditions days (either Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday) and your audition should only take 5-10mins; you're free to leave after! The 4pm to 8pm time frame means you're able to come in to audition anytime between those hours.
I can't make the audition times, can I submit a virtual audition?
Yes! If you reach out to us, we are more than happy to accommodate any conflicts and discuss other options. Keep in mind that virtual auditions are not necessarily an option as we strongly prefer in-person auditions, but for special cases, we are willing to make a one-time exception.
What to Know Before You Audition ༘⋆
Commitment
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
While Vermillion Vocalists is a club that asks for a degree of commitment, it is still completely possible to pursue other things while being an active member!
Communication is key for us as any one person can alter our group sound, but we're a group that also values being well-rounded and are 100% willing to work with our members and their schedules. <3
