Established in 2009, Vermillion Vocalists, also known as VeVo, is a coed a cappella group at the University of California, Irvine dedicated to musical excellence. They are comprised of diverse and talented individuals, united with a shared passion, dedication, and love of music-making. Likewise, they have a similarly diverse taste in repertoire, ranging from classic hits to today's chart toppers in genres such as pop, hip hop, and R&B.
In addition to performing for on-campus events such as Take Back the Night or TEDxIrvine, they also perform within the community in private events such as weddings and birthday parties or public ones such as the Environmental Nature Center's Fall Faire or a workshop with the Youth Singers of Orange County.
In recent years, they have co-hosted University of California, Irvine's premier a cappella festival, AcaLove, in addition to winning the a cappella category twice in their school's talent show, Soulstice, in both 2012 and 2016, and winning the overall category in 2019. They also competed in the ICCAs for the first time in 2019, earning fourth place in their quarterfinal. In 2020, they earned second place in their ICCA quarterfinal and moved on to semifinals.
